Happy New Year Everyone!
I am writing to you all from snowy Maine as I plan my move to New York City within the next couple of weeks...Almost as soon as I arrive, I will be performing at North Square, a wonderful intimate venue in Greenwich Village located in the Washington Square Hotel.
Please tell your friends and family in NYC to come and support my NYC debut! This is a great place to listen to jazz vocalists.
Roz Corral and others like Sasha Dobson perform regularly on Sunday afternoons, so if you are a fan of jazz vocals, don't miss this venue!
I am very excited to be performing with an extraordinary duo: Paul Meyers on guitar and Santi Debriano on bass. They have been performing together for some time now and I am really honored that they will be on this date with me!

This winning series includes "Women of Jazz on the Bay", featuring Vicki Burns, Anna de Leon, Susan Muscarella, Frankye Kelly, Tammy Hall, Faye Carroll,and Denise Perrier.
Melanie O'Reilly, Celtic Jazz singer and educator, who hails from Dublin Ireland, and is based in Berkeley, CA, has just won PPI Radio Award/National Radio Award 2008 for her radio series "Jazz on the Bay".
Melanie presents and co-produces this innovative series which features interviews and the music of jazz musicians/vocalists of the Bay Area as well as international jazz artists such as Dave Brubeck, Marion Mc Partland, Chick Corea, and James Moody.
Chosen as Music Specialist Program of the Year, it won over major competitors, such as BBC Radio! In a country which has the highest radio listenership in Europe, this was no mean feat!

Melanie's "Jazz on the Bay" broadcasts on RTE Radio 1, Ireland's National Broadcasting station , which was voted as Station of the Year!
